A History of Innovation
TEC® invented the first gas-fired infra-red burner in this country in the early 1960's. TEC then invented the infra-red gas grill. In 1980, we introduced the first stainless steel gas grill and the first with a concealed gas tank. Our flavor-enhancing channeled cooking grid system followed. Then, we developed the first portable infra-red gas grill and the first electric infra-red cooking system.
Throughout our site you'll see that our commitment to innovation continues with a new, patent-pending all stainless steel infra-red burner and a virtually flare-proof cooking system. Again, TEC is raising the bar and redefining outdoor grilling: preparing great tasting food in the comfort of your own home.
